How Do You Get Your Life Back After Surgery or Illness?

Recovering from surgery, illness, or living with a disability can make everyday tasks feel hard, even impossible. Things like walking, picking up your grandchild, or even getting dressed might seem out of reach. But what if you could get those parts of your life back?

At Therapy Circles, we believe that with the right support, there’s always hope. We work with you to create a plan based on your goals and what matters most to you. Our job is to help you get back to doing the things that bring you joy and independence.

We love seeing people feel proud and surprised by their progress. Sometimes, people look back and say, “I never thought I could get this far!”

You’re in Control of Your Recovery

At Therapy Circles, you are in the driver’s seat. Your recovery starts with your goals. We’ll discuss what’s important to you and what you want to achieve. Do you want to be able to walk further? Do you want to manage household tasks alone or shower without help? Whatever it is, we’ll work together to make it happen.

Every person’s journey is different, and we ensure your plan is tailored just for you. Whether you want to improve your strength, balance, or mobility, we’ll create a program that works with your needs, even if you use a wheelchair or have limited movement. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

Exercise That Works for You

A big part of what we do is create exercise programs designed around you. These exercises aren’t the same for everyone. We want to make sure they fit into your life and are fun! Whether you prefer exercising at home, the gym, or the pool, we’ll ensure your exercises match your lifestyle.

It’s normal to leave the hospital with a long list of exercises that can be hard to keep up with. That’s where we’re different. We work closely with you and your family to ensure your exercise routine fits into your day and is something you enjoy. If you love swimming, we might suggest an aquatic therapy program. If you prefer working out at home, we’ll tailor exercises that fit your space.

Breathing Easier, Moving Freely

If you have trouble breathing due to conditions like asthma or chronic lung disease, our cardiopulmonary therapy can help. We teach you techniques to improve how your lungs work, allowing you to breathe more easily and move more comfortably. This therapy can also help your heart pump blood more efficiently, improving overall health and fitness.

Help with Neurological Conditions

We also support people with neurological conditions like stroke, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, or multiple sclerosis. Our therapy can help improve mind-body connections, muscle strength, and movement. If you have difficulty with muscle tone, movement, or weakness, we can help you regain control and confidence.

Managing Pain

Pain can be a big barrier to recovery, but we help you manage it with simple techniques. We teach you how to control your pain through breathing, movement, and mindfulness. We can also use hands-on therapies like massage and stretching to relieve tension and help you feel better. Our goal is to give you the tools to manage your pain in a way that works for you.

Support for Young Kids

We work closely with children and their families to make movement fun! We help kids improve their movement skills through play-based exercises while keeping the activities enjoyable.

Getting Back Into the Community

Being part of your community is important, but sometimes it can feel overwhelming or unsafe. We work with you and your support team to find ways to make getting out and about easier and more enjoyable.

The Power of Collaboration

It’s amazing how much progress people can make with the right support. Many of our clients look back after a year and feel amazed by their achievements. We believe in working together to help you reach your goals.
